I design, detail and build structural timber frames with a focus on traditional craftsmanship, honest materials and carefully considered proportions.

From smaller oak structures and extensions through to substantial timber-framed buildings, each frame is developed around the architecture, structural requirements and character of the project.

Traditional Craftsmanship

Where appropriate, frames can incorporate traditional joints, exposed connections, curved braces and hand-finished oak, giving the structure both its strength and its character.

The aim isn't simply to create a timber structure, but one that feels considered and belongs naturally within its surroundings.

From design to raising, depending on the project, I can manage the process from initial design and detailing through to fabrication and raising the frame on site.

For larger projects, I can also work alongside architects, engineers and contractors to ensure the timber frame integrates properly with the wider build.
